These employees are being recognized by a coworker for going above and beyond.

Late on a Monday we received a request from a client on a job that we are going to start soon. Their development manager asked us to stake out 9 of the soon to be residential lots within 2 days for a walk they had coming up with builders. This was not only late notice, but really something that is outside of our scope of responsibility. Since the client does not have their own survey setup yet, I reached out to Dallas Burch to see if we could assist. Dallas jumped into help even with people off to make sure that we could provide above and beyond service for our client in this instance. This is indicative of Dallas’s approach to his work often. Dallas and his team are ready and willing to do whatever is necessary to support our client needs even when the timelines are very short and tight. – Brandon Lauerman

Henry Rodriguez should be recognized for his incredible efforts on the North Park project when it comes to erosion control. Henry and the team that he leads has manage and maintained the erosion control on this project to the highest level. Each month when the inspector from the City of Huntersville comes to inspect the erosion control she consistently states that this is the best level of compliance she has seen on a project of this type. To the point that she has brought outside inspectors and other agencies to come tour the site and see what level of compliance is possible. – Brandon Lauerman

Chase Morrow did a great job finding the problem and resolving it on the line dragon, he went above and beyond to get it fix and he saved me my crew a lot of time and hard labor, he also did follow up with the next day and asked me how it was doing he did an awesome job. During the planning process of an upcoming project, Nickolas Murray and Colton Roberts have both been working very diligently to ask questions, provide answers, and explain conflicts within the drawings and Tekla models. Together, numerous conflicts and missing dimensions have been found within the drawings that could have been catastrophic if not addressed prior to construction starting. Overall, thanks to them, we have been able to ask the proper questions to gain necessary knowledge and information on the drawings to help continue to succeed in being the #1 Construction Services Team. – William Lester

Amanda Phillip, Jaime Anderson, Andres Espitia, Roberto Garcia Vargas, Bruce Ashworth and the Safety Team, and The Learning and Development team consistently go above and beyond, working together across every business group and region to support, develop, and empower our employees. They stay flexible, adjust schedules on short notice, travel at a moment’s notice, and do whatever it takes to get the job done. – Jake Potter

I wanted to give a big shout out to Jerome Shorty and the IT team. They got 11 laptops, email accounts, and all software set up and configured for our intern group this year. They also spent the better part of an afternoon resolving the usual hiccups associated with IT set up. With time to spare, they had everything up and running for the interns to start with their work. – Zane Lail

Adam Weisner, Chris Robertson, Justin Goode, Renee Kennedy, Duane Reddington, Austin Rhodes, Jonathan Seaford, Jon Skojec and Katy Roland, I’m recognizing this entire team because there is always at least one of them here when I get here in the morning, and there’s usually someone from this team here when I leave at night.  This team is working hard trying to get work in the door for us.  I know the same level of work is being put in in each region. Each member of the team is working hard, and it probably seems like all eyes are on them. – Joel Riddle

Cayden Richard helped me out with the hands-on portion of the Lift Truck classes I taught. The way he explained the controls and demonstrated how each piece operated was very detailed and helpful to the other employee-trainees. I know helping me is not part of his job description but getting someone with experience on these pieces of equipment, in this setting, is invaluable to their training. – Jaime Anderson

I’d like to recognize Henry Rodriguez at the Summit Farms project. His material staging is a model for how a job site should look, with everything stacked neatly and sorted by type and size so his crew never wastes time hunting for what they need. Every evening, his equipment is parked in an organized manner and positioned forward first, ready to go to work the moment the day starts. And each morning, I see him lead his crew through a daily huddle, getting the team aligned and organized before the first task begins. Henry’s organization isn’t just about appearance. It drives safety, efficiency, and production, and it sets the standard for everyone who steps onto that site. Well done, Henry. – Josh Byers

Wayne Brothers has teamed up with many other firms to design and build a private bridge in Western North Carolina for a community in need. It has been a long process to get to being able to start building and Blake Barker is the only person that lives close to the project. We needed to clear vegetation so we could have some subcontractors review the area of work. Blake took his own equipment and performed the work himself to keep things progressing forward. I would like to recognize Wes Sells for delivering an outstanding presentation on the Safety Mindset training class. Wes demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm throughout the presentation. His ability to effectively communicate the importance of maintaining a strong safety mindset made the class both engaging and impactful. Brandon Lauerman has done a solid job pivoting on an initiative with ease and patience. We were too far down the rabbit hole on an initiative and realized it wasn’t the right solution. It was a great idea, but the reality of the solution was too much to accomplish. Instead of getting frustrated or toiling in uncertainty, we met up and he got us back on track with a reasonable plan and action points towards a goal. Meeting that goal will be the bigger accomplishment, but his agile and calm redirect is worth mentioning. I was provided with a great example in how we roll with the punches and don’t get down on unrealized efforts. – Wiley Geren

Brandon Bullard and his crew seem to be the first to work weekends, things change by the minute. Brandon leads his team well and can adjust on a dime to accommodate ever changing constraints. It has been a privilege to work alongside him and his crew. Keep up the good work!  – Joshua Akers

I would like to recognize Noe Saravia, Roberto Lopez, and Walter Moran for stepping up and running toward challenges when it mattered most. They went above and beyond by working late one evening to complete critical work and keep us on schedule for our client. Their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to do whatever it took to meet our commitment are greatly appreciated. Cody Waterfield has applied himself and began making decisions on his own in the field to lead his crew well. He is growing and learning how to plan and lead his crew. Cody does a great job of asking questions ahead of time and holds his leaders accountable to provide answers and material/equipment to help keep the job moving ahead. – Joshua Akers

Devin Neamon has been tasked with searching/confirming work that he nor his crew were initially involved with. He continues to be agile as plans to execute work change whether a constraint by general site logistics or sudden priority changes. He’s managing sub-contractors, his crew and any other need or support that comes up day to day. If there is a need to work off hours/nights he adjusts his plan and keeps a positive attitude to get work done safely. – Joshua Akers

Paul Dolinsky always has a smile on his face. He strives to do his best at all tasks. He takes time to plan out his work while managing multiple projects as of late and even working across different project scopes within the Civil group. He uses his talents and holds all of our team accountable to live out our culture. Paul is a pleasure to work with and always open to suggestions. -Joshua Akers
