Wayne Brothers Inc. received an impressive Third Consecutive Year Silver Safety Award at the annual North Carolina Department of Labor, Safety Achievement Awards ceremony, held on Friday May 30, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza – Charlotte Executive Park. Attending the event from Wayne Brothers Inc. was Safety Director, Jason Sisk, Field Safety Supervisors, Charles Lilly, Jared Robertson, Sam Nugent and Terry Wells.
The criteria for the award are a zero fatality rate and maintenance of an incident rate 50% below the average for the applicable industry group. It is based on the number of lost work days incurred.
Jason accepted the Silver Safety Award for Wayne Brothers Inc. “It is our goal to send everyone home safe and we have taken numerous steps to do so” he explained after the ceremony.
Cherie Berry, Department of labor Commissioner, was the keynote speaker and safety achievement awards presenter at the ceremony. She was assisted by Eursula Joyner, Department of Labor Safety Awards Coordinator, with presenting the awards to representatives from multiple business categories.
