Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Wayne Brothers, we want to leave this world better than we found it. That mindset shapes our approach to every challenge. Whether we’re planning a project or dealing with leftover material, we put our heads together to find an innovative, environmentally friendly solution. Below are just a few examples of our sustainability policies. Read our ESG report for more information.

Project Approach and Planning

Meticulous project planning allows us to tailor sustainability efforts to each project’s unique requirements. Our in-house teams collaborate to determine the optimal approach for every job.

Together, they model the project, conduct constructability reviews, and identify potential challenges. They also leverage technology like drone scanning and in-field iPads to assess and drive project progress. This results in:

  • Reduced waste via accurate material planning.
  • Improved fuel and resource efficiency.
  • Decreased chance of rework or wasted time.
  • Identified and avoided clashes.
  • Reduced idle time.
  • Seamless project handoffs.
  • Fewer surveyor site visits required.

Conserving and Reusing Materials

Greener Facilities

Our commitment to sustainability extends to our offices. All Wayne Brothers facilities are equipped with waste oil furnaces — each year, we turn 4,000 gallons of oil waste into clean-burned heat. We keep trash out of the landfill by recycling 100% of the cardboard, plastic, and metal we use.

We’re always looking for innovative ways to save energy. For example, our team lights common areas with a combination of skylights and LED, motion-activated bulbs. We also use electric forklifts and other pollution-preventing equipment to move inventory in our warehouses.

These are just a few of the sustainable initiatives we’ve undertaken in recent years. For more information, check out our ESG report.
