Scope of Work
Wayne Brothers has been engaged on a data center campus in North Carolina for more than a decade, with crews still onsite today. Our team has delivered a wide range of civil and structural scopes across that include mass grading, storm and sanitary sewer, water and site utilities, duct banks, concrete foundations, generator and chiller pads, utility bridge construction, bottomless culvert installation with deep foundations, substation construction, and asphalt paving with curb and gutter.
Unique Challenges
This project required quick problem-solving to maintain the schedule. When reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) was unavailable, our team kept the schedule moving by installing HDPE pipe as an approved alternative. Utility crossings required close coordination with the duct bank excavation, and our crews ensured accuracy by pre-installing sleeves in areas where pipe was not yet available, then returning later to complete the work once materials arrived. Several utility crossings were delivered in phases to minimize conflicts, reduce downtime, and keep other trades moving forward without interruption.
