Scope of Work
Our industrial group also participated in the Wolfspeed IPD project. We made gas storage possible for the megafacility by pouring the pads for each tank, setting those tanks, and then completing the piping associated with them. Wayne Brothers excavated, then placed significant structural components, including foundations, concrete pads (equipment foundations), a blast wall, stem walls, and piers. Our industrial team handled all paving, utility piping, equipment rigging and setting (for evaporator tanks and skids), and process piping for oxygen, hydrogen, argon, and nitrogen.
Unique Challenges
This project was a serious undertaking from the get-go. First, We needed to coordinate all construction activities with megasite construction teams, ensuring both schedules remained on track. Gas piping added another level of complexity; its installation required rigor and attention to detail. To ensure efficiency and sterility, we assembled high purity tubing with orbital welding techniques at our facility. We then X-rayed all welds as a quality assurance measure. Ultimately, we got the job done on time (and under budget).
