We performed the structural concrete package on a 115,000SF heavy industrial facility in Candler, NC. The scope included foundations, trowel finished MEGASLAB®, slab on metal deck, and equipment pads. We completed this project in 6 months with FF/FL numbers consistently in the 80s/60s on the MEGASLAB® placements.
MEGASLAB® is an engineered slab system that features ground-breaking technology that creates an incredibly dense and durable slab. The system reduces or eliminates the need for sawed control joints. MEGASLAB® virtually eliminates slab curling that is typically inherent to concrete slab on ground, thereby drastically reducing long term maintenance issues and costs. It’s an evolutionary concrete solution used to eliminate 2 miles of saw cut contraction joints for this end user. Construction joint spacing was up to 120 feet.
