Scope of Work
Wayne Brothers is engaged to deliver a 350-acre hyperscale data center in the Southeast, performing sitework + utilities, geostructural solutions, and concrete construction under one integrated team. By self-performing all three scopes, we are accelerating the schedule through seamless coordination and rapid adjustments in the field.
Our Civil team is managing turnkey sitework + utilities, which include clearing, grading, excavation, stormwater, and soil cement stabilization. The Geostructural group designed and is installing ground improvements through bottom-feed stone columns and completing drilled shaft foundations. Our Concrete team is delivering foundations, mat slabs, generator pads, CIP walls, electrical trenches, slabs-on-grade, and exterior paving. This tri-scope team will be keeping critical path activities on track despite a fast-paced schedule and tight site conditions.
Unique Challenges
Weak soils and a high groundwater table require innovative ground improvement design and equipment selection. Our engineers and operations teams are working together to install aggregate piers via bottom-feed stone columns and, in specific areas, integrate concrete within the columns to protect the utility excavations nearby. For the deep foundations, we will raise shafts nearly seven feet above finished grade, which requires precise control of both plumbness and elevation. Across all three scopes, our teams must adapt quickly to shifting jobsite demands, proving the value of Wayne Brothers’ one-team, one-schedule approach.
