Since there were only a few of us in the office today , I took Brent Sullivan and Yeisy Lopez to lunch. We ended up going to R&R BBQ off Poplar Tent Road. It turned out to be an eventful lunch. About 2/3rds of the way through our meal, there was a very minor disturbance (at first) across the dining room from us. Yeisy noticed first. She told Brent and me that she thought that gentlemen was having a stroke. As things escalated, Yeisy was much more clear that something wasn’t right with the gentlemen across the room. Staff from the restaurant were starting to huddle around, but no one knew what to do. It was at that time that Yeisy and Brent went over to the table. Yeisy immediately noticed that he was having a seizure, and Brent grabbed the gentleman’s head, holding it upright to keep him from choking. As the gentleman was lowered to the ground, Brent held his head upright until EMTs got there. That act alone kept the gentleman from choking and may have saved his life. When Fire and Medic got there, they took over. The situation would have been much worse if it were not for the quick actions of Yeisy and Brent. They were truly heroes today. I was impressed by their quick action. I don’t know for sure that it did, but it likely saved a life. – Joel Riddle

Our team (Rick Adsit, Brandon Lauerman, Jazil Chacon, Joshua Akers + crew)  mobilized on the 26th and fixed the leak, with the help of one of our waterworks supply partners, who provided the replacement valve on short notice. This team “answered the call that no one else would” as our client mentioned after the work was complete. On the Creek Mill project Henry Rodriquez went above and beyond when it became evident that an important section of work was going to be delayed. The work was very important and Henry wanted to be there to see it through to completion. This work was supposed to take place before the week of Thanksgiving, but was delayed and would have to take place during the week of Thanksgiving. Henry had PTO scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving and on his own rescheduled his PTO to make sure he was on site during the asphalt placement.
