Wayne Brothers' concrete scope included shallow foundations, grade beams, elevator pits, slabs on grade, slabs on metal deck, large electrical equipment pads, concrete trestles, and site paving.
Unique Challenges
The electrical equipment pads in the original three buildings were designed flat, which led to standing water problems. Our team identified the issue and brought constructability input to the redesign, helping develop exterior slopes on the pads to shed water properly. The result was a drainage solution that worked in the field, not just on paper.
