Scope of Work
Wayne Brothers' Industrial Group has been a trusted installation partner for National Gypsum for over a year and a half, completing multiple large-scale equipment projects inside their existing manufacturing facility. Our scope across two major engagements included the installation of a 50,000-lb rotary hammer mill with its full upstream and downstream system, as well as a mill upgrade that added conveying components, chutes, rotary airlocks, conveyors, weigh belts, screens, a rotary screen, sorting unit, screw conveyors, drag chain, feed bins, weigh belt feeders, and fans.
Unique Challenges
Our Industrial Group faced two hurdles on this project. First, no OEM was on-site so our crew worked entirely from drawings. Second, a mid-stream design change required the hammer mill to be reoriented 180 degrees from its original configuration, which meant dismantling the machine, modifying the frame and base, and fully reassembling the equipment. Our crew had to rely on experience and knowledge to overcome these challenges to get the job done.
