Scope of Work
Our team delivered the full concrete package for a 115,000 SF heavy-industrial facility in Candler, NC. The scope included foundations, trowel-finished slabs, slabs on metal deck, and equipment pads. We also provided delegated design services to engineer a high-performance slab system capable of supporting heavy industrial use while reducing long-term maintenance demands.
Unique Challenges
The facility required a durable floor solution with fewer joints and improved long-term performance. Through delegated design, we optimized the slab system to reduce thickness, eliminate 2.5 miles of saw-cut contraction joints, and extend construction joint spacing up to 120 feet. These design decisions streamlined construction, simplified future maintenance, and delivered a smoother, more durable floor system for the end user.
