Scope of Work

Wayne Brothers completed both the Turnkey Concrete and Sitework + Utilities scopes for EGGER, a wood manufacturing company producing panel products. The concrete scope included all building foundations, equipment foundations and pits, press pit structures, piers, shored slabs, building walls, single-sided formed walls, curbs, slab-on-grade, slab-on-metal deck, topping slabs, and precast concrete tunnel lids. The Civil & Infrastructure team managed all site utilities and pipe work using advanced 3D pipe modeling to coordinate the complex underground systems.

Unique Challenges

Coordinating extensive underground utilities was a major challenge for this large manufacturing campus. By using 3D pipe modeling, our team identified and resolved pipe routing conflicts before construction began, ensuring that multiple utility runs could cross and run parallel without interference. At peak production, six pipe crews were working simultaneously to maintain the schedule and safely install extensive piping networks that would feed directly into the building footprint and equipment foundations.
