Over thirty years ago, brothers Keith and Eric Wayne ventured out in the pursuit to start a business. In those early years, the uncertainty was great, market skepticism was high, but the Wayne Brothers’ vision to build a premier concrete construction company never faltered. What started with two brothers, a dump truck and a backhoe has grown to over 375 employees and over 50 pieces of heavy equipment. Today, Wayne Brothers is a leading Civil & Infrastructure, Industrial Contracting, and Concrete Construction contractor serving the Southeast with offices in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.
Our first expansion began in 1994 when Wayne Brothers (WB) added the Concrete Finishing Group. Driven to meet exact specifications of super-flat slabs and complex pours, we developed a group of highly skilled concrete finishers that have earned WB numerous awards for outstanding workmanship. In 1996, WB created the Civil and Infrastructure Group. Starting small, we have grown to a full line of construction grading equipment loaded with GPS laser-guided capabilities able to handle any size project; from excavation and erosion control to storm drainage and energy infrastructure project.
Bred from our belief in education, WB created an in-house training program in 2001. This program guarantees we have the most highly skilled employees for each project, while offering our employees the opportunity to develop their skills and become future leaders in the construction industry. In 2005, WB shifted its primary focus towards an ongoing mantra to “Safely Exceeds Expectations”. Over the years, we have developed one of the most comprehensive safety programs in the industry to continuously insure the safety of our employees and our clients.
In 2012, our relentless pursuit to be more productive lead WB to develop the Wayne Brothers Information Modeling (WBIM) group that utilizes BIM technology in all phases of construction. With the adoption of this cutting edge technology, we are able to digitally manage projects more efficiently and cost effectively; while offering our clients an increased level of service from project conception to completion.
The grand opening of our state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Davidson, NC is a testament to the many great men and women on staff; as well as all the employees who preceded us in building our roots and culture. It is also a testament to the families of our employees, who have made sacrifices over the years, supporting their loved ones on the job sites. And lastly, it is proof of the many great clients, project owners and vendors we have served and partnered with over the past 30 years.
