WBI’s Civil & Infrastructure Group mobilized to a green field site that required clearing, erosion control, site grading, storm, utilities as well as concrete and asphalt hardscape. With unsuitable soils across the entire site, WBI was able to utilize GPS to accurately identify areas that could be left untouched by the undercut as well as excavate to an exact elevation in order to reduce the total amount of total unsuitable soil hauled off site. Despite the harsh winter and unsuitable soils, the team was able to turn over the building pad on schedule, while continuing infrastructure work around the building construction.
