Jackson County Transfer Station

Wayne Brothers’ scope of work included foundations, slab on grade, iron aggregate tipping slab, heavy duty concrete paving, building foundation walls and site retaining walls with an average height of 18 feet. This project consisted of approximately 35,000 contact area square feet of wall formwork and approximately 2,500 cubic yards of concrete. The project began in early October 2009 and was completed in February 2010. The project presented substantial site logistic issues due to the existing transfer station remaining in operation and requiring an uninterrupted traffic flow throughout construction.
